“No matter what you've done for yourself or for humanity,
if you can't look back on having given love and attention
to your own family,
what have you really accomplished?”
if you can't look back on having given love and attention
to your own family,
what have you really accomplished?”

So true! I remember in an interview, I was asked what was my biggest achievement in life? I felt like saying.. "being a good mom!"..but they don't accept that answer for a job interview..
Well, maybe you can say "one of my biggest achievements in life is doing my part to make sure we have a responsible and dependable next generation to take care of Malaysia... by raising my children well." Hee-hee. You'd definitely sound flippant, but then it's a good gauge to see what corporate philosophy guides the company based on the reactions =)
I think being a parent is one of the most crucial jobs around, and being good at it has a direct consequence on how society turns out.
Great quote. Parenthood is important. I like hliza's comment, too.
