When the going gets tough, the tough get going!
Caped wonders with super powers have been created throughout history during times when people were in dire need of "heroes". They could fly or do a Houdini from the arch-rival's snare. But, these heroes stay on the comic book (or the silver screen). Hence, we in the real world face challenges ourselves--sans super powers. Whether it's families breaking apart or declining literacy in the country, it is we who answer the call from where we are, with what we have.

Wish things are all ok!
get tougher!
Congratulations for being nominated in the 2007 Philippine Blog Awards.
Sunnyday,
I recently came across a post on Amy Welborn's blog on Gawad Kalinga. (Among Catholic blogs in the U. S., Amy's is one of the most widely read.)
The post itself was basically just a link to an AsiaNews article about GK, but the astute comments posted by one Filipino woman, "araceli", particularly caught my attention.
A couple of people (presumably Americans?) offered some stupid -- and, in my opinion, very condescending -- comments, and she offered a much different view.
I thought about chiming in myself, but at that point, the post was already rather far down on the page, and figured it would likely never be read by anyone.
If you have a chance, check it out.
I'm on spring break, too. Congrats on the P.Blog Awards. Wow.
